Privacy policy.
Effective date: July 16, 2026.
Scope
This policy describes how information is collected and used on retainedfirm.com. It applies to this website only. Information shared with the firm as a client or prospective client is governed by the engagement letter and by professional obligations that exceed anything in this policy.
What this site collects
Two categories of information are collected. First, information you choose to provide when you contact the firm by phone or email: your name, company, contact details, and whatever you include in your message. Second, limited technical analytics about site usage, described below.
Analytics
This site uses privacy-focused analytics that measure aggregate traffic without cookies and without collecting personal identifiers. Pages visited, referral sources, browser type, and country of origin are recorded in aggregate. No advertising trackers are used, and no visitor profile is built or sold.
How information is used
Information you provide is used to respond to your inquiry, prepare for and conduct a scoping call, and run a conflicts check where appropriate. It is not used for marketing lists, and it is not sold or rented to anyone.
Service providers
This site relies on a small number of service providers to function, principally website hosting and email. Each receives only the information necessary to perform its function.
Retention
Inquiry information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, to maintain conflict-check records, and to comply with professional obligations. Aggregate analytics contain no personal identifiers and are retained indefinitely.
Your choices
You may request a copy of the information you submitted, or ask that it be corrected or deleted, subject to records the firm is professionally required to keep. Email counsel@retainedfirm.com to make the request.
Children
This site is directed at businesses and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. No information is knowingly collected from children.
Changes
This policy may be revised from time to time. The effective date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
